Twins make multiple roster moves with Buxton and Garver placed on 10-day injured list

The Twins made a series of roster moves on Thursday with OF Byron Buxton (left shoulder inflammation) and C Mitch Garver (low-grade right intercostal strain) placed on the 10-day IL, and P Zack Littell and OF Lamonte Wade Jr. being recalled. Additionally, C Ryan Jeffers had his contract selected, with P Lewis Thorpe optioned back to the alternative site in St. Paul.
Jeffers, ranked as the Twins’ No. 6 prospect by MLB.com entering the 2020 season, will be looking to make his major league debut. He was selected by Minnesota in the second round of the 2018 First-Year Player Draft, and has been training with the reserves at CHS Field in St. Paul.
Update: the Thursday night lineup was just posted and Jeffers will catch and bat 9th in his MLB debut
The Twins finish their series vs. the Brewers at 6:10 p.m. at Target Field.
