Correa recently turned 28-years-old. He seemingly can find a long-term deal that will trump the remaining two years and $70.2MM on his current contract. Being an outright free agent at 28 holds a lot of appeal. Thus, it seems for the Twins to keep him, they’ll have to give him a new, long-term, big money contract.
