Twins announce 2020 theme games, including First Avenue and ‘Friends’ nights

Celebrating a variety of groups, causes and pop culture phenomenon through baseball, the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday announced the first 30 theme nights for the 2020 season.

Some of the new theme nights in 2020 include First Avenue night, celebrating the team’s downtown Minneapolis neighbor in the 50th year of the famed music venue, "Sesame Street" Day and "Friends" Night.

Other returning theme games include games celebrating nine local colleges and universities, Minnesota’s other major sports franchises, pop culture gatherings for Star Wars, Grateful Dead and Margaritaville, the Women and Baseball series, and fundraising efforts for Cancer Awareness Night and Love Your Melon Night.
