The Minnesota Twins have reinstated infielder Jorge Polanco from the injured list.
The club made the move after the first game of Tuesday’s doubleheader.
Polanco has missed the team’s last 14 games due to lower back tightness.
This season, he’s hit .245 with 7 home runs, 33 RBI, 32 walks, 28 runs and a .729 OPS over 58 games.
In a corresponding move, the Twins optioned outfielder Mark Contreras to Triple-A St. Paul to make room for Polanco. Contreras appeared in two games after being recalled on Saturday and got his first MLB hit Monday night against Cleveland.
