Twins acquire pitcher Shaun Anderson from Giants

The Minnesota Twins added another boost to their pitching staff Thursday trading for Giants right-handed pitcher Shaun Anderson.

The Twins dealt outfielder LaMonte Wade Jr. to San Francisco.

Anderson posted a 3.52 ERA in 18 appearances for the Giants last season. He had a .182 opponent batting average and finished the year with 18 strikeouts in 15.1 innings. Anderson, 26, was a third round draft pick in 2016 by the Boston Red Sox.
