Towns and guard D’Angelo Russell are expected to play Wednesday night after being out for nearly two weeks.

"We’re hopeful. We’ll get a good workout in after this just to see where their fitness level is. We’re hopeful they will play," said Wolves head coach Chris Finch.

Towns tested positive for Covid at the beginning of 2021, then contracted it again at the end of 2021. It put a damper on his holiday plans with family. Towns admitted to losing 50 pounds the first time he had Covid and said he lost 15 pounds this second time around. He said his eagerness to get back to play the game he loves is something he needs right now for peace of mind.

The Wolves are 17-20, but have shown that they can be a solid team when fully healthy.
