Ranked No. 2 in Class 3A with a 2-0 record, the Totino-Grace high school boys basketball team is loaded. In other words, coach Nick Carroll is having a blast leading them.
We checked out a recent practice and game and quickly learned how talented they are. Two of their players, junior Demarion Watson and sophomore Taison Chatman, have already earned scholarship offers from the Gophers and many other big-time college programs.

Watson, a transfer from Minnehaha Academy, is among a star-studded Minnesota 2022 Class. It’s him, Tre Holloman (Cretin D-H), Prince Aligbe (Minnehaha Academy), Chase Carter (Minnehaha Academy), Cam Heide (Wayzata), Elvis Nnaji (Hopkins), Ahjany Lee (Byron), and Eli King (Caledonia) with an offer from the Gophers.
Chatman is the state’s top-ranked Class of 2023 player. His fellow sophomore teammates, CJ O’Hara, Tommy Humphries, and Patrick Bath are right behind him. Bath transferred from a high school in Fargo.
