The Totino-Grace boys basketball team is primed for a nice run come section playoffs time, although they’ll have to go through No. 1 Minnehaha Academy. The Eagles are prepared for that since they have played a 4A schedule, even though they’re in Class 3A. Their overall record is 15-8.

KSTP Sports caught up with the Eagles, as the regular season comes to a close.

Totino-Grace’s roster is full of underclassmen, with three of the top Class of 2023 players in the state contributing. Guard Taison Chatman is so good, in fact, that the Gophers and Marquette have already extended him a scholarship offer.

On the inside, the Eagles get solid work from junior Joe Alt. The son of former NFL offensive John Alt, Joe has football offers from the Gophers, Iowa, and others. He uses that tight end/offensive lineman build to muscle his opponents on the basketball court.
