Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns’ mother dies of COVID-19
The Minnesota Timberwolves announced that star center Karl-Anthony Towns’ mother, Jaqueline, died of COVID-19 Monday.
According to a statement from the Timberwolves, Jaqueline had been battling the virus for more than a month. Towns’ father, Karl Sr. recovered from COVID-19 earlier in the month.

The statement goes on to call the matriarch of the Towns family a "fiery, caring and extremely loving person who touched everyone that she met."
The Towns family is asking for privacy in their time of mourning.
