Timberwolves announce 5-game preseason schedule

The Minnesota Timberwolves will play five exhibition games before the start of the regular season.

Friday, the organization announced its preseason slate, which features one game at Target Center.

The preseason schedule begins with a trip to Miami to play the Heat on Oct. 4 before three games against Los Angeles — vs. the Lakers in Las Vegas on Oct. 6, at the Clippers on Oct. 9 and at the Lakers on Oct. 12. Minnesota’s preseason schedule concludes with a game at Target Center against the Brooklyn Nets on Oct. 14.

Tickets for the exhibition games will go on sale with regular-season tickets in September.

The NBA hasn’t said when it will announce the regular-season schedule, although it has typically been in August.
