Timberwolves 2021-22 schedule released; season opener vs. Houston

The Minnesota Timberwolves’ 2021-2022 regular-season schedule was released on Friday, with seven of the first eight games being played at the Target Center.
The regular-season opener is scheduled for Oct. 20 against the Houston Rockets at home. Minnesota’s first away game will be played on Oct. 28 against the defending NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks.
Other highlights of the season include hosting the Los Angeles Lakers on Dec. 17 and March 16; hosting the Golden State Warriors on Jan. 16 and March 1; and hosting the Brooklyn Nets on Jan. 23. The team will have three four-game homestands from Oct. 30 to Nov. 5, Nov. 15 to 20 and Feb. 14 to 25.
The Timberwolves will also be featured on four nationally televised games, including one on TNT on Jan. 27 against the Warriors. The other three will be on NBATV (Jan. 9 against Houston, Jan. 16 at New York and March 11 at Orlando).
Tickets go on sale starting in September.
