Super senior Amber Fiser excited for Gophers softball season to start

With a schedule announcement forthcoming, the Gophers softball team has started practicing for the 2021 season.
We caught up with senior pitcher Amber Fiser, back for her fifth season, taking advantage of the free year of eligibility the NCAA offered up. Fiser saw her true senior season in 2020 cut drastically short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fiser, who was the Big Ten Pitcher of the Year in 2019, enters the season with more career wins than any pitcher in Division I.
Fiser and the Gophers are the preseason favorites to win the Big Ten. The schedule will be conference-only, under the leadership of first year head coach Piper Ritter.

Fiser earned her undergraduate degree in business and marketing education last year. She is currently earning her master’s degree in sports management.
