State Hockey: Late OT goal gets Hill-Murray by St Thomas Academy in AA Semifinal

Charlie Strobel’s putback of a rebound with 21.4 seconds left in overtime gave Hill-Murray a 3-2 win over St Thomas Academy in the Class AA State Boys Hockey Tournament Semifinal.

Hill-Murray took a 2-0 lead on a pair of quick goals from Dylan Godbout in the first period.

St Thomas Academy forced overtime with third period goals from Riley O’Brien and Charlie Killian.

Hill-Murray goalie Remington Keopple made 24 saves in the win. STA’s Tommy Aitken had 34 saves.

The Pioneers advance to SAturday’s Class AA State Championship agaist Eden Prairie.
