The Tommies most recently defeated D-III Northland College, 109-50. In that non-conference game, the Tommies drained 19 three-pointers in the opening half before resting starters for the final 20 minutes. St. Thomas ended the game with 22 made three-pointers. The Tommies play at a fast pace, and like to shoot a lot of 3s. In other words, they are very entertaining to watch.
Omaha comes into Monday’s game with 1-10 overall record. Among Omaha’s losses: at Ball State (73-69), at Kansas State (79-64), at Montana (68-47), at Texas Tech (96-40) and at Purdue (97-40).
The Tommies’ Summit League home opener is Jan. 1 vs. Western Illinois.
