St. Cloud native Nate Wolters is living the dream of playing professional basketball. He had short stints in the NBA with Milwaukee, New Orleans, and Utah. Now, he plays overseas.
Wolters was a second round draft pick by the Washington Wizards in 2013. Shortly after the draft he was traded to Philadelphia and then dealt to the Milwaukee Bucks. He played in the NBA until 2015. He then landed in the G-League and then later in Turkey for Besiktas.
He’s had multiple stops since then, and is now looking for his next team, which could be one in Greece.
"I’m a free agent planning on going back next year (to Europe) and hopefully with this whole situation the season can start on time and be as normal as possible," Wolters told KSTP Sports at a recent workout in the Twin Cities.

Wolters, 29, has played all over Europe, including Serbia, France, Lithuania and Israel for Maccabi Tel-Aviv. Of course, Wolters would like nothing more than to play in the NBA again, but for now he’s enjoying the journey that professional basketball is taking him on.
