Russell, Garza interviews ahead of Wolves’ Friday game vs. Clippers

Wolves point guard D’Angelo Russell and center Luka Garza met with reporters after shoot-around Friday morning at Mayo Clinic Square. The Wolves are going for their third straight win Friday night.

Los Angeles Clippers (21-19, sixth in the Western Conference) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (18-21, 11th in the Western Conference)

BOTTOM LINE: Los Angeles travels to Minnesota looking to break its three-game road losing streak.

The Timberwolves are 11-13 in Western Conference games. Minnesota ranks sixth in the Western Conference with 54.5 points per game in the paint led by Rudy Gobert averaging 10.2.

The Clippers are 11-12 in Western Conference play. Los Angeles is 8-3 when it turns the ball over less than its opponents and averages 14.7 turnovers per game.

The teams play for the second time this season. The Clippers won the last matchup 99-88 on Dec. 15, with Kawhi Leonard scoring 19 points in the victory.
