Royce Lewis recalled by Twins

The Minnesota Twins say they have recalled infielder Royce Lewis.

Team officials announced the news late Sunday morning.

In order to make room for Lewis, the team says they have optioned infielder Jose Miranda to Triple-A St. Paul.

As reported earlier this month, the Twins sent Lewis to the minors in order to make room for shortstop Carlos Correa, who came off the injured list.

During the 10 games Lewis played for the St. Paul Saints, he played at shortstop, third base, leftfield, centerfield and was also a designated hitter.

Before he was optioned to the Saints, he hit .346 with a 1.063 OPS in seven games from May 6-17.
