Rosemount boys hoops too much for Bloomington Jefferson

The Rosemount Irish boys basketball team defeated the Bloomington Jefferson Jaguars 59-56 on Wednesday evening at Jefferson High School.

The Jaguars jumped out to a quick 9-0 lead, but Rosemount did not give up. The Irish finished the half strong and led 30-21 at the break.

Jefferson mounted a comeback in the second half. They had the ball down by three with 20 seconds left. But, Rosemount forced an air ball and the game was over.

For Jefferson, sophomore guard Daniel Freitag led the way with 17 points and senior guard Hayden Holland finished with 16 points of his own.

For the Irish, senior guard Caleb Siwek scored 21 points and junior guard Anish Ramlall added an additional 14 points for Rosemount.
