Richfield boys hoops gearing up for run in Class 3A

The Richfield boys basketball team made it to the state tournament last year, one that wasn’t played due to the pandemic. They plan on getting back there this year and have a roster fully capable of doing so.
The Spartans are 11-2, one of the best teams in Class 3A.
KSTP Sports was at a recent Richfield game, a win over DeLaSalle, and a practice. We talked with coach Omar McMillan and a few players to figure out what makes them so good.

Richfield is led by senior Lamar Grayson, one of the best guards in the metro area, and senior wing Ryan Mies, a 1,000 point career scorer. Miles was also an exceptional quarterback for the football team.
