Reminiscing with Sweet Music

Former Twins pitcher Frank Viola lived up to his nickname of "Sweet Music" when looking back at the magical 1987 Twins World Series season.
"The most special thing about the 1987 team, besides winning the whole thing, was we won it with a great bunch of guys, with a front office that got us and a fan base that was second to none," Viola told KSTP’s Darren Wolfson.
Viola was the World Series Most Valuable Player after winning games one and seven against the St. Louis Cardinals. He recently re-watched a portion of his 8-inning gem in the seventh game.
"Great to reminisce and talk about it. I hadn’t forgotten too much of the game 33-years later."
Viola’s MLB career peaked in 1988 when he went 24-7 with a 2.64 ERA for the Twins and won the American League Cy Young Award.
