Q&A with 2022 North Dakota big Joe Hurlburt on receiving offer from Gophers and more

Class of 2022 forward/center Joe Hurlburt of Enderlin, North Dakota recently received a scholarship offer from the Gophers.

We talked to Hurlburt about that, and all the offers he’s earned to date — Iowa, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Colorado, North Dakota, and North Dakota St.

Indiana, Oregon State, Oregon, Butler, Iowa State, and Virginia are among schools that are showing interest, and could eventually offer.

Hurlburt averaged 21 points and 15 rebounds per game as a sophomore. He is playing this summer for D-1 Minnesota, an AAU team full of high and mid-major players.

Hurlburt mentioned that he’s grown up a Gophers fan, and that his older brother was a student at the ‘U’. In other words, he knows a lot about the campus and the Twin Cities.
