Twins senior vice president and general manager Thad Levine caught up with our Darren ‘Doogie’ Wolfson about myriad topics

Levine touched on the benefits of adding starting pitcher J.A. Happ, then added, “We’re not done. We still have some flexibility, we’re still having ongoing conversations, we still see many ways we can improve this team both from a qualitative standpoint and from a depth standpoint."
Note: The Twins are expected to formally announce the signing of free agent shortstop Andrelton Simmons on Friday. Until they do that, team personnel can’t comment on-the-record. Look for Simmons and a team executive to meet with reporters sometime Friday late morning or afternoon.
Levine also provided updates on free agents Nelson Cruz, Jake Odorizzi, and Tyler Clippard, plus told us about how infielder Jorge Polanco is doing following offseason ankle surgery.
The Twins are scheduled to begin spring training workouts in mid February in Fort Myers.
