At 27-41, the Twins are 15.5 games back in the Central Division, and 13 back in the Wild Card race.

The Twins begin a series Friday at Texas. OF Max Kepler (hamstring) traveled to Texas after completing his rehab assignment with St. Paul, and is expected to activated off the injured list.

Falvey touched on Kepler and other injured players like OF Byron Buxton and C Mitch Garver.

Obvious trade assets include pending free agents DH Nelson Cruz, P Michael Pineda (currently on the I.L.), and RP Hansel Robles. If looking at the players who can be free agents after next season, that list includes Buxton, SP Jose Berrios, and relievers Taylor Rogers and Tyler Duffey.
