Q&A: Twin Cities native Jamison Battle on decision to transfer from George Washington

Former DeLaSalle high school and D-1 Minnesota AAU stud Jamison Battle announced this week that he’s transferring, leaving George Washington.
We talked with Battle about his decision, the run he had at George Washington — named 3rd team All-Atlantic 10 this season — where his game is at, and what schools are already after him.

The 6-foot-7 sophomore averaged over 17 points and five rebounds a game this year for the Colonials, their second-leading scorer. As a freshman, Battle started in 30 of 32 games. He led the conference in made 3-pointers (89), 3-point attempts (243) and shot 37% from three. He was named to the A-10 All-Rookie Team.
In what is expected to be a deep transfer portal throughout college basketball the next few months, Battle is one of the best players available.
