With NFL teams operating with $182.5M salary caps in 2021, that’s a dip of over $15M from last year. That’s fallout from the pandemic season.

The Vikings have handled their cap very well, signing outside free agents Patrick Peterson, Dalvin Tomlinson, Sheldon Richardson, Stephen Weatherly, Mackensie Alexander, Xavier Woods, while keeping Anthony Barr with a restructure.

They also have reworked Danielle Hunter’s 2021 contract, ensuring that he’ll be in training camp when it opens in late July.

We talked with Joel Corry, former NFL agent and current media analyst, to get background on how the Vikings have managed to massage their cap for this year.
