Martin originally began his collegiate career at Iowa Western. After one season there, he was rated as a three-star junior college prospect before heading to the Wolfpack. In three seasons with North Carolina State, Martin had 29 total tackles and one forced fumble, finishing with 12 total tackles last season. His playing time diminished in 2020 compared to 2019.

Martin will head to Minnesota in mid-January to begin winter workouts. Troy was another school in his mix.
