Q&A: Minneapolis native Kaden Johnson on not getting to play for Wisconsin in Fall

Wisconsin Badgers LB and Minneapolis native Kaden Johnson should be in the middle of summer camp, preparing for the season opener. But the Big Ten canceled football this fall.

Johnson reacted to that decision while home this week on a break. Wisconsin is giving its football players two weeks off, with the season postponed until January or later.

We caught up with Johnson at GameFace Training in Maple Grove, so even while on a break, he found a way to get a workout in.

Johnson was the state’s top 2020 football recruit out of Minnehaha Academy, choosing Wisconsin over the Gophers, Nebraska, and other big-time programs.
