Q&A: Luther McCoy on committing to Gophers football

St. Augustine (Fla.) Creekside defensive tackle Luther McCoy committed to the Gophers last week.

He talked with KSTP Sports about his decision, and how Duke was the toughest program he told no to.

The 6-foot-4, 290-pound defensive tackle said he committed to Minnesota having never visited. He only was able to do virtual tours, including one earlier this month that helped seal the deal.

The Gophers have been working hard for McCoy since they offered back over the summer.

Early National Signing Day for college football is Wednesday.
