Q&A: Jamison Battle on committing to Gophers men’s basketball team
Twin Cities native Jamison Battle committed this week to the Gophers men’s basketball team.
KSTP Sports caught up with the former George Washington star. Battle played in high school for Benile-St. Margaret’s and DeLaSalle.

Battle became the first transfer to commit to new coach Ben Johnson.
The sophomore averaged over 17 points and five rebounds a game this year for the Colonials, and was their second-leading scorer.

As a freshman, Battle started in 30 of 32 games. He led the conference in made 3-pointers (89), 3-point attempts (243) and shot 37% from three. He was named to the A-10 All-Rookie Team.
