Nnaji is now with the Nuggets in Las Vegas for Summer League, but is on the league’s health and safety protocol list after a teammate tested positive for Covid-19.

He played in 42 games as a rookie while averaging 9.5 minutes per game. But with Javale McGee leaving for Phoenix and free agent Paul Millsap not expected back, Nnaji could see his role increase in year No. 2.

Also in his rookie year, Nnaji averaged 3.2 points on 48.1 percent shooting from the field and 40.7 percent from behind the arc, a very encouraging sign.

He was selected 22nd overall by Denver in the 2020 NBA Draft after one successful year for the University of Arizona.
