George Tsamis has spent 18 years as the St. Paul Saints manager. But with the Twins coming aboard as the Triple-A affiliate, they will bring in their own skipper.

Tsamis led the Saints to two championships, the latest in 2019; helped them transition from Midway Stadium to the new CHS Field; won more than 1,000 games along the way; helped construct the yearly rosters; and was one heck of a batting practice pitcher.

He noted that he’s open to continuing to manage elsewhere, or join a team as pitching coach. He remains tight with Saints ownership, so a non-field position could always develop too.
