Pierce was the Vikings’ biggest free agent addition last offseason, given a 3-year, $27 million deal. But with the pandemic, he was among 67 NFL players who opted out of the 2020 season.
But he’s now ready to join the Vikings, hopeful he can get the COVID-19 vaccine before the season starts. The Vikings hope he can duplicate the production they got from run-stopper Linval Joseph 2014-2019.
