National Signing Day in basketball comes Wednesday, and it’ll be a big day for the University of St. Thomas. Its men’s team is expected to sign two players, including guard Ben Nau.

Nau is a point guard at Brookfield Central, a high school close to Milwaukee. He chose the Tommies over hometown UW-Milwaukee, he told our Darren Wolfson.

Note: our chat with Nau took place shortly after his commitment in late September.

Nau was the Tommies’ first Division I recruit. In July, St. Thomas announced that its athletic program would make the jump from Division III to Division I, a transition that is set to begin next fall. Men’s basketball will play in the Summit League.
