Q&A: Prior Lake’s Owusu commits to Gophers football program

The Gopher football program landed another top in-state recruit on Monday when Prior Lake defensive lineman Martin Owusu announced his commitment to the University of Minnesota.

Owusu had other offers from schools like Iowa State, Washington, and California but quickly chose the Gophers after they offered him a scholarship on Saturday. He’s one of the top Minnesota high school players in the class of 2023 and the third in-state recruit to commit to P.J. Fleck’s program.
