As the Minnesota Lynx prepare for their 2020 WNBA Playoff opener against the Phoenix Mercury, KSTP Sports’ Chris Long chatted one-on-one with Lynx second-year star Napheesa Collier.

Click the video box to watch Napheesa Collier’ share thoughts on facing the Phoenix Mercury, life in the WNBA bubble this summer, her new podcast with fellow WNBA star A’ja Wilson, and thoughts on Lynx teammates Rachel Banham and Crystal Dangerfield – who’s favored to follow Collier’s reign as the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year

Collier, the WNBA’s reigning Rookie of the Year, took her game to another level in her second season. She assembled a stat line only three other WNBA players – all legends – have achieved.

Per the Lynx: Collier finished this season averaging 16.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.3 blocks. She joins Lisa Leslie (2006), Tamika Catchings (2007) and Candace Parker (2012 and 2015) as the only players in WNBA history to hold season averages of at least 15.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks.

Collier will lead the Lynx into their playoff opener against Phoenix on Thursday night.
