Pitcher Louie Varland to make major league debut with Twins

Former North St. Paul High School student-athlete and Concordia-St. Paul pitcher Louie Varland will make his major league debut Wednesday.

KSTP Sports confirmed the news, learning Varland is expected to debut with the Minnesota Twins, against the New York Yankees.

The Twins are set to add him to the 40-man roster, then their 28-man roster, KSTP Sports confirmed.

KSTP Sports sat down with Varland earlier this year.
