Park Center’s 2021 Ms. Basketball hopeful Adalia McKenzie discusses college choice

Park Center’s Adalia McKenzie will be one of the favorites to win the Ms. Basketball Award next winter for the 2020-21 season. She recently decided she’ll head to college at the University of Illinois.

The ‘Prep Girls Hoops’ website tabs McKenzie as the #1 recruit among the state of Minnesota’s class of 2021.

As a junior, McKenzie averaged more than 30 points per game and scored 49 points against Spring Lake Park in a midseason game on the Target Center floor.

Her season average and that single-game high were the highest among players in the state’s largest two classes during the 2019-20 season.
