Park Center football goes from 20-game losing streak to verge of State Tournament

Over the last three seasons, the Park Center football team endured a 20-game losing streak. They finally snapped the skid in the first game of the 2021 season, which springboarded them to a remarkable 8-1 campaign that has them playing Friday for a spot in the State Tournament.

After losing the final 5 games of the 2018 season, the Pirates went winless in 2019 (0-9) and 2020 (0-6).
In 2021, their lone defeat came to Mound-Westonka with wins over rivals like Buffalo, Washburn and perennial powerhouses DeLaSalle and S-M-B.
Park Center plays Rogers on Friday for the Section Championship.
A win would deliver their second-ever appearance in the State Tournament – the first since 1985.
