Park Center boys hoops win first annual George Floyd Classic

The Park Center Pirates boys basketball team defeated the Minneapolis North Polars 67-55 to win the first annual George Floyd, Jr. Memorial Holiday Classic, held at North Central University.

The game had a close first half ending in a 31-30 Pirate lead. But, Park Center was too much for the Polars in the second half.

North was led by senior guard Willie Wilson, who scored 22 points. Senior forward Jacob Butler added 12 points for North.

Park Center was led by Gopher commit Braeden Carrington, who poured in 33 points for the game. Senior guard Leo Torbor scored 14 to help the Pirates capture the championship.
