No. 4 Eden Prairie boys hockey routs Holy Family

The #4 Eden Prairie boys hockey team defeated Holy Family 6-0 on Saturday.


The Eagles started the scoring on a power play when Jackson Blake found senior Luke Mittelstadt for a one-timer to make it 1-0 Eden Prairie with 4:49 left in the first.

Then, Eden Prairie scored four goals in the second period to bust the game wide open.

The avalanche started when senior Tyler Marble scored to make it 2-0 with 12:41 left in the period. Later, senior Carter Batchelder and Blake assisted Mittelstadt to make it 3-0 with 9:07 left in the second. Then, Blake scored the next goal off a Batchelder assist, making it 4-0 Eagles with 6:25 left in the second period. Topping off the four-goal period was Batchelder, off Blake’s third assist, with just five seconds left in the second period, giving the Eagles a 5-0 lead heading into the third period.

In the third, Blake scored his second goal of the game to make it 6-0 Eden Prairie. Blake ended the night with three assists and two goals.

The Eagles won 6-0, improving to 3-1 on the season.
