No. 3 St. Paul Academy girls soccer defeats DeLaSalle

The No. 3 St. Paul Academy Spartans girls soccer team defeated the DeLaSalle Islanders 3-1 on Saturday at DeLaSalle High School.

The Spartans got on the board first when sophomore Aurelia Meza scored on a beautiful goal to make it 1-0 with 34:00 left in the opening half.
Later in the first, Spartans senior Mia Hofmann scored off a great assist from freshman Sawyer Bollinger-Danielson to make it 2-0 St. Paul Academy with 20:30 left in the first half.
At the end of the first half, senior Maomi Straub scored off a Bollinger-Danielson’s corner kick to make it 3-0 Spartans with 6:54 remaining in the first.
DeLaSalle scored in the second half to make it the 3-1 final.
