No. 1 Andover girls hockey defeats No. 1 Warroad

The No. 1 (Class 2A) Andover Huskies girls hockey team defeated the No. 1 (Class 1A) Warroad Warriors 3-1 on Thursday evening at Andover Ice Arena.

The game was 0-0 until the last minute of the second period when freshman defenseman Mackenzie Jones scored to put Andover up 1-0.
But, Warroad would answer back just 29 seconds into the third period when junior Kate Johnson scored to make it a 1-1 game.
Later in the third, the Huskies would recapture the lead when junior forward Madison Brown scored to make it 2-1. Then, junior forward Isa Goettl added an empty-net goal to make it the 3-1 final.
