Mounds View knocks off top seed Wayzata in 3A girls’ soccer state tournament

The Mounds View girls soccer team beat the top-seeded Wayzata Trojans 3-2 in overtime in the opening round of the Class 3A state tournament Tuesday in Edina.
With the win, Mounds View advances to the semifinals and will play the winner of Centennial and Edina.
