MN United loan Langsdorf, Montgomery to different teams
The Minnesota United soccer club announced on Wednesday two separate loans to other teams.
One move sends defender Callum Montgomery to the San Diego Loyal of the USL Championship for the remainder of the 2021 season. Montgomery was traded to Minnesota from FC Dallas in December of last year. He was selected No. 4 overall by FC Dallas in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft.
Another move will send forward Foster Langsdorf to the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the USL Championship for the remainder of the season as well. Langsdorf joined the Loons after one season with Reno where he played 18 games and scored 11 goals during the 2020 season. The majority of his professional career was spent with the Portland Timbers II, where he made 57 game appearances, notching 22 goals and 55 assists.
At Stanford University, Langsdorf helped lead his team to three consecutive NCAA National Championships and four straight PAC-12 titles.
