Catcher Mitch Garver should rejoin Twins in the very near future. He’s currently rehabbing with the St. Paul Saints after being sidelined with a groin injury that occurred on June 1st.

Garver is recovering after being hit by a foul ball in his groin. The forceful impact on his protective cup was such that Garver required surgery that night, for what he describes as a groin contusion.

"This was an injury that goes beyond baseball. I’m happy with how I’m feeling and with any luck, I’m hoping to join Minnesota in about a week," said Garver.

In 41 games prior to injury, Garver was hitting .224 with 8 home runs and 17 runs batted in, with 26 hits. Since then, Ryan Jeffers and Ben Rortvedt have been filling in for him with the Twins.

Garver had a previously scheduled day off Friday with the Saints.
