The Minnesota Wild are skating closer to their season opener on October 13 against the New York Rangers. The Wild held their first day of training camp on Thursday in St. Paul.

Wild general manager Bill Guerin and head coach Dean Evason talked with media on Thursday about a variety of topics including getting Kirill Kaprizov back into the United States from Russia, what is the limit for Kaprizov this season and what does the team need to do to build off their playoff run last season.

As camp continues, the Wild’s first preseason game is Sunday at 3 p.m. against Colorado at the Xcel Energy Center.
The Wild begin the regular season on Thursday, October 13th hosting the New York Rangers.
