Minnesota Wild trade Jason Zucker to Pittsburgh Penguins

The Minnesota Wild have traded forward Jason Zucker to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for forward Alex Galchenyuk, a 2020 first-round pick and defenseman Calen Addison.

Zucker, a frequent target of trade rumors, was selected by the Wild in the 2nd round of the 2010 NHL Draft and has scored 132 goals in 456 career games in Minnesota.

Galchenyuk, 25, has recorded five goals and 12 assists in 45 games this season with Pittsburgh and is set to become a free agent after this season. He’s a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Addison, 19, has scored 10 goals and 33 assists in 39 games for the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the Western Hockey League.
