Wild’s Foligno suspended 2 games for kneeing
The Minnesota Wild will be without a team leader for the next two games due to suspension.
The NHL announced Thursday that forward Marcus Foligno was suspended for two games after he kneed Winnipeg Jets forward Adam Lowry during Tuesday’s game.
The suspension means Foligno, an alternate captain for the Wild, will miss Saturday’s game vs. Carolina and Monday’s game against Detroit.
Foligno has 27 points (17 goals, 10 assists) in 40 games for the Wild this season.
