Minnesota United to open season at Seattle, host Real Salt Lake in home opener
Wednesday Minnesota United announced the opening part of its 2021 schedule.
The club will kick off its fifth MLS season where last season ended, in Seattle. The game will be nationally broadcast on April 16 at 8:30 p.m. (CT).
Minnesota will play Real Salt Lake on April 24 in its home opener.
"It will certainly bring back some memories and a lot of emotions from last year," Minnesota United Head Coach Adrian Heath said on going to Seattle for the season opener. "But going back we know how hard we worked to get to get to where we were last year and that has to be the reflection, the work we put in during the year and what it helped us achieve. Going to Seattle you always get up for that game. It’ll be nice to start the campaign where we ended and begin our work right away."
Full dates and broadcast details for the 2021 MLS season will be announced in the coming weeks.
