Minnesota United signs striker Adrien Hunou

On Friday, Minnesota United announced the signing of French forward Adrien Hunou as a designated player from French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais.

According to the club, Hunou has been signed to a three-year contract plus a one-year club option. He will join the Loons pending a physical, receipt of his P1 Visa and ITC and completion of league-mandated quarantine. Additionally, Hunou will occupy an international spot on Minnesota’s roster.

"This is another signing we have pursued for a long time," MNUFC head coach Adrian Heath said. "Adrien is a target we have not deviated from since last year. It’s a bit like the Reynoso deal, where we’ve been at it every single day, and he’s been desperate to come to Minnesota."

Hunou joins the club after spending almost his entire professional career in the Stade Rennais system, where he’s scored 38 goals in seven seasons. Hunou is of Polish descent and is still eligible to play for the Poland National Team.
